VI. How to run Focus Groups
Workshop 6 How to run Focus Groups
Many offices conduct surveys to collect information about people’s attributes and attitudes but if you need to understand at a more in-depth level then you may use a focus group. Sometimes it takes listening to the opinions of others in a small and safe group setting before they form thoughts and opinions. Focus groups are well suited for those situations. We will discuss how to prepare for and conduct a focus group, and participants may even volunteer to join a practice session of a focus group, as a moderator or a participant depending on the availability of roles during the session.
